Hmmm… I in clodins place would swing that axe to get as much blood off as possible…
Getting blood on yourself and your weapon when fighting is like getting wet in the rain. There’s a certain unpleasantness but you come to accept it.
No doubt – but that scene is _after_ the fight, and blood can do nasty things to weapon edges…
Oh I know I have 13 swords… Not that I’ve ever got blood on them of course! Tum tee tum…
But why would Clodin swing his axe to get the blood off it when he can wipe it on his beard aka ‘Dwarven J-cloth’? 😀
After fights in the comic canon you’ll propably see weapon cleaning occurring afterwards. I like to put in details like that.
Na, the beard’s the dwarf’s natural napkin – no blood on that :o)
