Raveleijn is an theatre at Efteling Amusement Park in the Southern Netherlands.
Raveleijn is the name of the city where the 5 Raven Riders will be. A magic portal turns 5 Ravens into horses and 5 children ito Riders with the power of the 5 elements: fire, water, metal, earth and wood. Now they have the power to defeat Count Olaf but he has created a giant 5-headed Dragon called Draconicon that might be beyond all of them!
All 5 dragon heads breath fire and both horses and riders are dwarfed in comparison to this massive beast in the live show.

10 Amazing Animatronic Dragons

Okay Dragon Hunters, it’s time for another list: 10 Amazing Animatronic Dragons! Part puppet, part robot, these Dragons are so lifelike you would swear they were real. (And you can meet many of them ‘in the flesh’ as it were, making you a dragon hunter indeed)!

FYI, this isn’t a ranking – I think all these Dragons are fabulous! Which are your favourites? How would you rank them?

1) Stinger from ‘How To Train Your Dragon’

Dreamworks ‘How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular’ has many amazing animatronic Dragons that it uses in its stage show. ‘Stinger’ may be one of the smallest (10 feet by 17 feet) but it’s special because it has been going out doing a public service. This Dragon has been visiting kids in schools with Hiccup to teach anti-bullying workshops. And you thought your teacher were Dragons! This one actually is one! But it’s actually charming.

Here are some bigger Animatronic Dragons from the ‘How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular’.

2) Baby Drogon?

10 More Amazing Origami Dragons

You’ve seen 10 Amazing Origami Dragons? Well this is 10 MORE Amazing Origami Dragons!

I am delighted to make another list of beautiful and impressive Origami Dragons and include those designs I couldn’t fit into the first one. Again this is just a list, not a ‘top ten,’ because I just don’t think it would be fair to rank them; they are all beautiful and original in their own right.

1. 3-Headed Red Dragon

‘Pure’ Origami made from a single piece of by 120cmX120cm paper by Dragon Knight 2.0 on Flickr where you can see more pictures of this dragon plus more they have made. It is incredible! Who would have thought it was possible to make a triple-headed dragon from a single piece of paper? And the heads are so detailed and expressive. This really is a masterpiece!

The names I have used are those given them by the artists.

This amazing origami dragon is by Joseph Wu whose work I have featured before. It is called the Grand Dragon and is made out of six pieces of folded paper which is apparently dark orange – not red!

Movie Review: The Gamers

The Gamers is an Independently produced comedy by Dead Gentleman Productions, and focuses on a group of student role-play gamers (I can confidently say they are playing Dungeons & Dragons – I recognise the books). It fully embraces the concept of this being a game and interchanges between the game-world and the real-world, which adds much of its humour. The Gamers succeeds in accurately showing what the experience of gaming is like: to the outside viewer just a bunch of nerds sitting around a table, but once you enter that imaginative world you see it is much more, and a ton of fun!

Role-players sitting around a table from the movie The Gamers

The Movie is very much carried by its humour, the plot itself isn’t very robust being a basic defeat the villain, rescue the Princess cliché but nonetheless serves as a good vehicle. Likewise the characters are very stereotypical but that’s okay because it’s what the movie is making fun of.
