Plushie Vorlon

Merry Christmas everyone! Here are some pics of the Christmas Pressent I made for my sister who loves Babylon 5 (as do I!) – it’s a Plushie Vorlon! Kosh specifically, the cuddly one.

Sunday Sketch #16 – 25 Essential Expressions

I decided to do this exercise because I love expressions and it is good to practise character consistency. I’m not completely happy with all of them so I’ll probably redraw a few. I might possible ink/color them later… I’m not sure at the moment.
Please do leave me your feedback and constructive critism – I love to hear it and it is very useful.

My Favourite 5 D&D Player Characters

First, Clarky The Cruel posted a blog about his favourite 5 Player Characters, then Ramblings of the Easily Distracted shared his top 5 in response; now I’m the third in the chain. So here are my Favorite 5 D&D Player Characters.

I’m sure many of you will be wondering why I haven’t included Amuletts. Well, of course she is one of my favorites but, if you read the comic, you will know quite a lot about her already. I thought I’d give the limelight to somebody else for a change. I hope you enjoy reading about them.

1) Akale O’Dakota
A Halfling Cleric of Raven Spirit whose name means ‘One Who Looks Up’ (because he’s short and worships a bird. See what I did there?) Originally I intended to make him human, but then someone floated the idea of an all-halfling party and everything slotted into place: Halflings like food. Raven Spirit likes food. This character was going to be a chef, adventuring to discover new tastes, ingredients and the best way to cook Dragon Burgers!

My Little Pony – Failure is Epic!

My Little Pony, Epic Fail in the style of Friendship is Magic, FiM
At the beginning of My Little Pony ‘Friendship is Magic‘ you always see a picture of all the characters which Twilight Sparkles has presumably sent to Princess Celestia. So I decided to make my own in the same style using the characters from Epic Fail.

I’ve posted all the characters individually so you can go back and look at them in more detail if you haven’t already and see what their Cutie Marks are.

Sunday Sketch #15 – My Little Pony Yoru

This Sunday sketch is of Yoru, the half-demon boy, as a My Little Pony. With it I complete the task of drawing all Epic Fail’s characters as Ponys. I drew him as a Pegasus because he’s different from all the other characters, and I hadn’t done one yet! He doesn’t have a Cutie Mark yet because he is too young and has not yet discovered his destiny.

Look out for Mondays update where I’ll post a picture of all the Ponyized characters together.

Sunday Sketch #14 – My Little Pony Tinuvielle

My Little Pony Tinuvielle MLP FiM Fanart
This Sunday Sketch is of Tinuvielle as a My Little Pony. She is a Unicorn because she is a magic-user. Her Cutie Mark is the Celtic symbol for female power, or to put it in more modern terms: Girl Power!

Sunday Sketch #13 – My Little Pony Clodin

My Little Pony Clodin Brony MLP FiM Fanart
This Sunday Sketch is of Clodin as a My Little Pony. Clodin is a Dwarf so I decided to make him a shetland pony – and a shaggy one at that so I could get his beard in without it looking too weird. He actually turned out pretty cute. His Cutie Mark is a rather obvious one, it’s a clod (or sod) or earth.

I notice that the male ponys (bronys) where there show up in the cartoon (pretty rarely) are less stylistically rigid than the females.

Comic Book Review: The Underfold – Best Apocalypse Ever!

The UnderFold
I found this collection enjoyable to read; I’ve dipped into ‘The Underfold’ online but never gone all the way back to the beginning, so most of this was new to me. One of the things I enjoy about webcomics is that you see artistic progression – the learning process – and as a creator I find this very inspiring because it shows even the greatest Artists come from humble beginnings. It’s unusual for a published book to show this, but in this case it does. In the beginning the art you see are sketches almost anyone could do and by the end it has progressed into a confident and unique style.

Sunday Sketch #12 – My Little Pony Dirk

My Little Pony Dirk, MLP FiM Fanart
This Sunday Sketch is Dirk as a My Little Pony! Are you sensing a pattern yet? I’ve used the color of his (new) armor as the colour of his coat, and his Cutie mark is three ginko leaves, a Samurai symbol for loyalty. They look pretty.
