(FYI – vote image is used as a TWC vote incentive).

So which of Epic Fail’s characters bravely donned a pair of rabbits ears and a fluffy tail? You must be wondering. Is it Amuletts, the red-headed rogue? Or Tinuvielle, the sexy spell-slinger? Maybe Martin the muscular man-muffin? Or Dirk, the attractively brooding Paladin? Why no! It is Clodin, the dare-devil dwarf! He’s short, he’s hairy and he’s dressed as a bunny for your pleasure! (You may argue this doesn’t fall under the remit of ‘sexy bunny’ but he’s trying, okay? And theirs going to be some pervert somewherethat finds him attractive!)

Remember this is an international event so participants may be in different timezones. If someone has not posted their sexy bunny art yet please check back later. A list of all participants is below.

  1. Amy Lets – Epic Fail (No need to click this one – You’re already here!)

Getting Recovery Help Through Art Therapy

At the foundation of any recovery program is communication. Typically this would mean a lot of talking between the person struggling with an addiction and their therapist. There could be intensive one-on-one conversations as well as group therapy sessions. The success of these sessions depends a lot upon the person doing the talking. It might prove to be a challenge for some folks to open up especially if an addiction has been used to cover up some deep seeded emotional pain.

What happens if the person simply won’t open up? Can sitting in silence help? Perhaps but a more effective approach towards opening up has been found through art therapy. Quite often the simple act of sketching or painting can open up a new line of discussion. Chalk it up to the power of art in its many forms.

Valentines Day Sex Drive 2013

Happy Valentines Day everyone! Yet again Epic Fail is participating in the Valentines Day Sex Drive – an excuse for gratuitous nudity (and I’ll take any excuse)! This year Martin has traded his clothing for a bag of magic beans! Oh and Tinuvielle’s there too, to point and laugh, but she ought to watch out because it’s her turn next year!

Click to go to the Nudity!

NSFW, rather obviously. I’ve used it as a TWC vote incentive so there’s a confirmation you wish to continue (and because I can use all the votes I can get). Sorry for the lack of background, but I don’t suppose you’d be looking at that anyway!

There are 48 webcomics participating in the Valentines Day Sex Drive, meaning 48 webcomics have drawn pictures of their characters naked! Below is a list of all of them. Have fun checking them out.

Book Review: In The Shadows by Jess Dixon

In the Shadows was written by my friend Jess Dixon and is now available as an ebook from Amazon and Smashwords. I was lucky enough to read it pre-publication and would be counted amongst the people who encouraged Dixon to publish, because I enjoyed it and thought others deserved to enjoy it too. It’s a vampire love story and, as much as Twilight has damaged the genre, perhaps In The Shadows will go some way to recovering it.

In the Shadows is a love story between Raven Lockleare, an ordinary 17-year-old girl, and Errol Richmond, a 150-year-old vampire. It’s not just their love story, however, as Errol also has a relationship with Jezebel, daughter of the original Vampire Lord Malroch. Errol fell in love with Jezebel as a mortal but this turned to hate when she killed and ‘turned’ him. You also learn about relationships between the other characters. The overarching theme is love and how it can conquer anything. Even death.

Adobe’s ‘Free Photoshop CS2 Release’ = Epic Fail!

Recently Adobe made Creative Suite 2 available to download, complete with serial number but without requiring activation. Included were applications Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Elements, Premier Pro, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro and GoLive – available individually or as part of the CS2 bundle. Shortly thereafter the news broke that Adobe was giving away their 10-year-old software for free! It seemed like a late Christmas present.

Well apparently it isn’t. Adobe released an official statement to say:

You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!

Custom Art Card Sleeves for Magic the Gathering etc

Do you play Magic the Gathering or other collectable card games with precious cards you need to keep safe? Tired of boring, plain card protectors that are weak and fall apart when used? How about a strong, custom card protector customised with your own artwork?

If this sounds appealing to you then you need to back this Kickstarter Project created by my good friend George (a fellow gamer at my University’s Wargames & Roles Play (WARP) Society).

Protect your cards, and look good while you do it! Tough, durable card sleeves with the art of your choice on the back!

A lot of gamers like to use card protectors to prevent the cards getting sticky, marked or damaged when they play. Some collectable cards, such as Magic the Gathering Cards, can be valuable to! Card sleeves are a small investment that keep cards pristine, extending their life and protecting their value.

This Kickstarter campaign offers some rare Magic The Gathering cards as incentives so take a look. There’s also the target of producing handmade leather and chainmaille dice bags once the £3000 goal is reached. Currently the sleeves are sized for MtG cards but if it succeeds Penniwhistle Games would like to make different sizes available, such as those for Yu-Gi-Oh cards, but he need to get the wheels rolling and kick-start his business first!

This is a cool project so go show your support and get your own custom art card sleeves!

The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey Movie Review

It’s winter, and with the cold weather and darker days it’s not unusual to feel a bit down in the dumps. That is how I was feeling when I went to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey but it succeeded in lifting my spirits. It is the story Bilbo Baggins, a fussy, stay-at-home Hobbit who has barely been beyond his front door, that is until Gandalf the wizard volunteers him to join an adventure with 13 Dwarves as their ‘burglar’. It is a feel-good film with a lot of humour and a satisfying conclusion, even though it is the first instalment of three films.

Bilbo Baggins is going on an adventure!
