Epic Fail 150: Cheap, Fast, Good. Pick two.

This week in Epic Fail: The adventurers go to an armorer to get their armor repaired.

Creator’s commentary: So, clearly the characters forgot repairing their armor was something they needed to do, leaving them in this conundrum, and giving me the opportunity to include this important message.

This is a good chart for setting customer expectations when it comes to commissioning. Especially on the internet, artists often get messaged to ask them to drop their prices and/or make something at the last minute. Everyone wants it to be good. Just remember, asking artists or crafters to make your thing as a rush-job for hardly any pay will decrease quality, while also driving said artist / crafter to an early grave. So, as a rule, we avoid these jobs. Last minute jobs get charged at a premium rate, and ‘cheap’ jobs go to the back of the queue to be completed ‘eventually’. Unless it’s a stick figure. I can draw you a stick figure really fast and cheap.

So, umm, would anyone like a commission?
