Yoru doesn't look like he likes his mom much. Then again, she's a scantily clad blond woman covered in soot, I might not like that very much.

Lack of background detail forces us to place more focus on the well-drawn characters! Was that intentional?

No, not intentional, in fact I still intend to work out a better background. But if I get it out it will receed making so the characters are will the main focus. Artists Vallego and Bell do these beautiful misty backgrounds and that’s what I’ll be aiming at.
