Pg 73: Hot Elf on Elf

This week in Epic Fail: She’s not saying that she did, but Amuletts might have set fire to Tinuvielle’s bed to stop her from learning new spells.

Creator’s Commentary: I like the visual humour in this one a lot. The dialogue is not particularly amusing but the visuals make me chuckle. At least I’m making myself laugh with these comics!

It’s interesting using the night-time color palette. Is it too dark or can you see everything okay?

Pg 72: Camp Fire

This week in Epic Fail: Tinuvielle’s bed mysteriously catches fire and Amuletts jumps to the rescue.

Creator’s Commentary: No it’s not an April fool – it really is a new update! My first night-time scene; I hope you like the color palette.

I’m very sorry for the long wait, I know it’s even worse than my usual ‘schedule.’ I have been having big problems with my Graphics Tablet & Windows 8 that just don’t seem to play nice together. I’ve already changed my tablet once, because the old one would not work at all, and would consider doing it again only I hear very good, expensive tablets are having similar troubles so I’m just not sure if it’s worth it – there’s a good chance it would not solve the problem. At the moment my mouse is more sensitive than my tablet, which is a sad state of affairs to be in.

Hmm, perhaps I should just upload in black & white for a while until my Tablet problems are sorted out. I have 3 more pages inked. I dunno. I don’t like doing half a job.

Amuletts Playing with Fire

Amuletts playing with fire

Finished the artwork for the first Epic Fail card for the Wagon Webcomic Battle. It’s Amuletts doing what she does best – playing with fire! Man that fire was fun to do!

Sunday Sketch #11 – My Little Pony Amuletts

Amuletts as a My Litte Pony MLP FiM Fanart

This weeks Sunday Sketch is Amuletts as a My Little Pony, ‘Friendship is Magic’ style. She’s supposed to be looking a bit devious (don’t know if I pulled that off).

She’s a Unicorn for the simple reason she can cast spells, so characters who are spell casters will have horns and those that aren’t won’t. Her Cutie Mark is a Flame because her special talent is playing with fire, lol. (And she’s a Cleric of Loki).

Webcomic War Round 2

So far all the participants are unscathed, but not for much longer!

Ancire retreats back to where he started whilst Amuletts tries to intercept.  Taversia heads towards the cluster of pets battling it out in the center.  An Octopus strikes at Haley but she was smart enough to attack at the same time, racking her teeth across three of them before being hit by a fourth.  The fourth had initially concertrated on Sabine, so its hit doesn’t damage Haley, it just seers off some fur.  On the other hand Sabine is getting a bit confused, unsure what to do about the terrifying cat running straight at her.  The cat leaps into the air, scratching two of the octopi that were hovering over Sabine’s head with her claws. They fall to the ground, dead. The cat lands and, opening her mouth wide, decides to see if she can swallow a Guinea Pig whole!  Sabine, of course, doesn’t go down easy and does a bit of damage to the inside of her, though she does not survive the trip.  In the meantime Ahres is looking for something to hide behind, but the only cover available is Ancire!  He jumps down from the ledge and shelters in his masters shadow.

Pg 3: Why you don’t tease a Pyromaniac

Amuletts gets her vengeance by setting fire to the dwarfs beard.  He panics.  Everyone tries to be helpful.  The mysterious blue-robed figure tries to approach, but is halted by a guard.  She seems to have a scroll in her hand…

I like this layout, though it may be a bit tricky to read on the screen – sorry about that.  I like to action/reaction frames.  It’s good to say things without words!  I found the extreme perspective fun too.  It may not be wholly accurate, but it creates the right impression.

By the way, Amuletts produced that fire magically.  I thought I’d mention it in case you thought she was using a lighter.  She’s actually clicking her fingers (though the lighter effect is not unintentional).
