10 More Amazing Origami Dragons

You’ve seen 10 Amazing Origami Dragons? Well this is 10 MORE Amazing Origami Dragons!

I am delighted to make another list of beautiful and impressive Origami Dragons and include those designs I couldn’t fit into the first one. Again this is just a list, not a ‘top ten,’ because I just don’t think it would be fair to rank them; they are all beautiful and original in their own right.

1. 3-Headed Red Dragon

‘Pure’ Origami made from a single piece of by 120cmX120cm paper by Dragon Knight 2.0 on Flickr where you can see more pictures of this dragon plus more they have made. It is incredible! Who would have thought it was possible to make a triple-headed dragon from a single piece of paper? And the heads are so detailed and expressive. This really is a masterpiece!

Montague’s Mount Game Review

An impressive effort by solo-creator Matt Clifton, funded by Indie-Go-Go, Montague’s Mount was described to me as a cross between Dear Ester and Myst. Since I like both these games and, in particular, would have liked some puzzles in the former I was excited about playing this game. I can see where the comparisons come from however if Dear Ester and Monague’s Mount were Twins, Montague’s Mount would be Danny DeVito.

Copyright Versus Fan Art

Junta Fan Arts 11- share & attribute
‘Junta Fan Arts 11’ Photo by Wmforo.com

It has been said that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but this is not necessarily true when it comes to the law. All art is to some degree derivative, but where is the line drawn between derivation and theft? Everyone will have drawn Fan Art at some point, as kids if not as adults, we want to draw out favourite characters because we love them. Perhaps we’ll even write stories with them in, because we want more stories, because we want more than what’s already out there. Because we are Fans.

But every time you make Fan Art you are breaching Copyright because you do not own the intellectual property to those characters, concepts or designs. You are not the original artist, nor have they given you permission to copy their work, so you are essentially ‘nicking’ their idea. That’s the letter of the law, but what is the spirit of it? There’s a big difference between lovingly imitating and maliciously stealing.

Star Wars: Empire Uncut Released & they included my scene!

empire-uncut-amy-letts-1

The Star Wars Uncut project is a massive fan collaboration to remake the Star Wars movies. This crowd-sourced project started in 2009 when Star Wars: A New Hope was cut up into segments, lasting only a few seconds each, and divided amongst thousands of fans to remake in anyway they chose, then stitched back together again! This amazingly creative project won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media in 2010.

The Witcher Game Review

The Witcher is an action RPG based on a book of short stories by the same name. It’s a Polish game and uses Polish folklore providing a different feel and monsters you will not have encountered in other games. It’s low fantasy within a believable, feudal world stricken by war, poverty and plague. Witchers are monster slayers – mutated humans with superior strength and an affinity for magic. You play Geralt of Rivia, the famed White Wolf, mysteriously back from the dead but suffering from amnesia. The adventure starts when the Witcher’s secrets are stolen by a criminal organization called Salamandra and Geralt has to get them back.

Tomb Raider 2013 Game Review

Tomb Raider 2013 is an Origin Story for Lara Croft and a reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. This is a reboot done right and it streaks ahead of any of the previous games in the series. It keeps Lara’s character concept and the 3D platformer gameplay but everything else is reinvented for the new generation. It is a much grittier, adult game. I can only describe it as epic.

Geek Equality Day 2014

Geek Equality Day is another Cross-Webcomic Even but United Webcomics. It’s celebrating Geekery in all it’s forms, with none of this picking on our own because we don’t happen to geek out about the same thing or fit a certain stereotype.

Epic Fail is birthed from a D&D game, so it’s a bit meta to draw them playing one. Amuletts is actually sitting where I do when I play.

Okay, Geeky links below. Check out all the things!

Dear Ester Game Review

Dear Ester is an experimental indie game built with the Half Life engine. In fact some have argued it shouldn’t be called a ‘game’ at all; the only mechanic is exploration. You walk along a largely linear path and are rewarded by a poetic voice-over every so often. You can look at things and take detours to look at more things while you try to figure out what it’s all about.

The Ball Game Review

The Ball is an Indie First-Person Action/Adventure/Puzzler where you play an archaeologist who has fallen down a hole, finds a massive Ball and decides to play with it. Let’s face it: we’ve been dying for another ball-based puzzle game since Marble Madness.
